Installed a new rain gauge. Hopefully it works better now, as the old one definitely wasn’t recording each tip of the bucket.
Fantastic work Mr. M. :D

I’m glad you approve. I usually use my manual gauge when I report storm totals, as they are far more accurate. But it’s nice to not have to go out in the rain to get a rough idea.

There must be a forest fire near the coquihalla hwy as there is an evacuation order for properties bordering Murray lake , hopefully it doesn't reach there, had some good times fishing there , even saw old Blondie (light colored black bear).
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Juliet creek fire. 600ha but the size wasn’t updated today because the smoke was too thick to map the perimeter.

South cariboo looked pretty bad today. Clinton was reporting visibility of 1 mile or less for the past 24 hrs.

I''m surprised no ones mentioned the meteor shower Perseids were at their peak this weekend but we missed out due to cloud cover and smoke tonight.

Nice and cool this morning. 15c and cloudy or is this misty/fog? Whatever it is it sure would be cool if it didn't burn off!
