25 June

On this day in 1925 we were also in the middle of a heatwave. Ladner hit 32.2C, Vancouver PMO hit 33.3C and New Westminster peaked at an astonishing 37.2C.
East Coquitlam. Elevation 25m(80ft).

First 15C: March 11 (17.9C)
First 20C: March 12 (21.4C)

Hedley was 42 on this date in 2015. That's the earliest in the year BC has been that hot.

1941 In British Columbia the mercury hits 44.4C in Lytton, Lillooet and Chinook Cove, BC which is the hottest day on record in British Columbia and the second hottest day on record in Canada. It's also the hottest day on record in Victoria, BC; temperatures peaked at 36.1C here.

Nov 11-12 1955. An impressive arctic front sliced through southern BC early in the morning on Remembrance Day 1955. There was only a quick burst of snow with the front but the airmass behind it was impressive. By the 12th, YXX recorded a -8/-14C day with windchills in the mid -20s.

Snow fell a bit heavier across southern Vancouver Island with moderate to heavy snow showers falling during the Remembrance Day ceremonies. Close to 11cm fell across the capital region

I used to post lots of these but it kind of got forgotten over the years. I’ll see if I can rejuvenate the thread, since our weather has been boring AF.
