I think the only thing near that location is a gravel pit. Maybe disturbing the fault somehow? I wonder if they use explosives.

Don't know. I wonder if earthquakes these small can do anything to relieve any pressure. I think the closest fault to that one wasn't even the one where the big one is supposed to happen though. Areas as far inland like mine and yours would definitely feel the big one, but I don't think we would have to worry about the damage to our houses as much.

An 8.3 earthquake just hit Chile. I doubt a Tsunami will make it this far north, but an alert has been issued for Hawaii.

Any word on an earthquake tonight. We just heard and felt something fairly substantial.
Located at the north end of Shawnigan Lake. 500ft elevation
