Anyway, I wish I understood all your mumbo jumbo, but I don’t. So do you think we will get any snow at sea level, or just a slopfest?

Really depends on where you live. Proximity to the water and/or elevation will come into play. From twitter...

Also from twitter (Chris Doyle).
During some precipitation events in the cold season an easterly barrier jet forms along the base of the N shore mountains along the N shore of the Fraser. The flow, as it saturates, becomes effectively blocked while being adiabatically cooled.

Basically, if you're north of the Fraser, away from the water and at elevation, expect accumulations!

Thank you.! :D

I'm here but I'm actually pissed.
My first love is nice, warm weather. My second love is snow, if it's winter. I went to Mexico in December and the East cold snap effed up the weather down there. Cloudy almost the whole time, below normal temps.
Now, I'm supposed to go to Newport Beach, California next week. Was looking forward to some sun and warmth. But guess what...possible arctic outbreak extending to Cali?! :x
Why can't you guys have your fun up here and I'll have my fun in the sun? But noooooo....now I'm gonna miss out on BOTH great things. No warmth AND no snow for me? :x What's it gonna be down there? Sunny and 10 degrees? Oh, joy. How boring is that?!

I have the worst luck this year. Hope you guys score but can we keep the arctic air to Oregon and north please???
