February 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Well that was another non winter January it seems to be a trend so will February be our new January or will it be one month closer to spring?

Yup, not a drop of snow in Vancouver, although, it was very wet. 240mm! Normal is only 168.4 mm.

I think winters chances for this year are gone. Based on latest trends and how the past couple months have gone, I have no reasonable reason to think we will see anything good.

Just curious, does anyone think the warm blob off our coast has contributed to this poor winter? Apparently there was a cold blob last year that was attributed to all those GOA ridges.

Water is warm everywhere, especially the atlantic. Our climate is fucked. The arctic is getting massacred again this winter. When the ice is gone then we'll really know what we've done.
