December 2017 Ice Storm & Snow Storm in The Fraser Valley & Squamish

Postby Abby_wx » Sat Dec 30, 2017 5:14 pm

Pictures, videos, discussion.

I know that some of us are just getting our power back this afternoon, and others may be without power for days.

I have a bunch of pictures, but I haven't had time to post them yet. At least this way they won't be off-topic or lost in the other thread.

Yup, Abby's rain is so cold it's literally freezing. Anything to not snow.

Pic taken this morning out my back balcony.

Of course, we all know it doesn't snow in Abby, but if you get enough freezing rain it starts to resemble snow. My street late this afternoon...

Here is some tree damage on a street in my subdivision. Scenes like this are common throughout south and east Abbotsford. Excuse the medicore quality, as this is taken from my dash cam.

This tree fell into my driveway in slow motion, coming to rest on two cars. Thankfully, this car was covered (with a car cover, and also snow and ice), so I don't expect any damage.
