How accurate is Phil from over there?

He can nail down large scale features but many will be too hard on him due to the smaller variabilities involved in long term forecasting.

All signs are pointing towards a -PNA by early Jan but this could lead to an AR event or big arctic blast. He will get grilled if the former occurs.

He has been talking for January for the last three months even if he doesn't get it right who cares. That guy is really smart.

Reality hurts? Or I could post a wishcast that brings over a meter of snow to Abbortsford on December 25th
No truth hurts we all know itll be a dumpster outcome.

Or hope the best with a shitty large scale pattern?

Offshore flow with lots of sunshine. Highs near 8 and lows near -3?
Yup may as well be mild if it's going to be sunny.

Calm down buster. No one said he wasn't smart. I have stated time and time again that Phil takes so much unnecessary crap over there.

Most of us would agree.

00Z ECMWF puts us in the bulls eye for some snow Wednesday leading into the inversion.

And ECMWF goes nuts with the blocking. Greenland block and West Coast block firmly established. A weather stalemate...no progression to the pattern.
