What about Nakusp = a record setting 11.6C...

or Princeton with a record setting 12.4C...

or Puntzi Mountain the day before with a record setting 17.4....

Typical EC, always missing interior records.

I spent 20 minutes looking for my scaper. By then my car was warm, so I drove to work without finding it. Just bought another one.

November 1985 was the 10th driest in Vancouver (84.1 mm including 14.6 cm of snow). Record low is 33.3 mm in 1952.

By the way, November 1985 was the coldest by FAR, with an average min of -3.2 and an average max of 3.4.

1896 was just as cold if not colder. But you're right, 1985 (and 1896) were by FAR the coldest of any other November on record. We're talking 2.5C colder than any other month since at least the 1880s.

In 1896, Spences Bridge, one of the warmest places in Canada, had 10 days below -20C in November. Today it hardly ever hits -20 even once per year let alone a month before Christmas.

1.8c IMBY there was still frost in the shade at 11:30am and I even saw a frozen puddle. Temps must have been much colder at ground level.
