Last couple model runs have been trying to develop an area of low pressure off of the NW Washington coast this weekend. That might be worth watching as colder air will already be in place

tbh, i've seen the weather pattern overall lock in for approx 2 months too many times. So my guess is that is what is going to happen again for Nov/Dec. Would be great if we keep getting a nice cool/cold N/NW flow 8-) 8-) 8-)

Always love watching for those lows to develop. They often bring fun surprises.

That’s crazy.

Yup. I guess 2017 fires just wont quit. Although in the Similkameen the ground was fairly damp where i was going so i guess that helped

Thought I saw some smoke out there today. Just checked out firesmoke.ca and it verifies. Somewhat surreal.

I just went out and noticed the hazy mountains about an hour ago. I figured maybe someone was burning stuff on a farm or something nearby. But now I see it's yet MORE forest fire smoke. What a weird week this is turning out to be. Summer, Fall and Winter all at once.

The smoke you see is from logging slash pile burns, not from forest fires.

Actually both...as many of the slash fires have got into the timber! They are hoping for the rain Wednesday night into Thursday to put them out.

Impossible in my opinion...

But 19.3 in Cultus Lake

If you look at all the weather stations in BC, the high elevation places actually outperformed the low elevation stations in many locations.

Here are some examples:
