Ya, pretty much! My downfall was grossly underestimating the temperatures in Abbotsford. It doesn't get 36.4 very often in Abbotsford, especially this time of year.

I was only off by only 6 degrees on Victoria's overnight temperature! Any hope I had of being in the running for this contest is now gone. I can't believe it can be this warm at night in September! 25C as a low on Vancouver Island! Over 20C on Saturna Island! That's hard to believe in mid-July let alone September!

EC did well the last heat event so this time I was going to joke around about copying their forecast. This time they're doing worse than I am and I'm doing pretty bad!

Okay, I screwed up the formula for the past couple of mornings (I was comparing against night 1 by accident). I knew it was too good to be true when it said that I didn't get absolutely smoked last night.

Here is the updated table with me dropping in the standings.

Also, here's another way of viewing the results. Basically, it compares you against the average. Abby_wx is currently almost 10 points better than average.

Okay, so I'm getting killed because I couldn't believe we'd be getting 20 degree lows in September! So as I'm falling in danger of being as bad as Environment Canada in my prognostication skills, I will take a moment to brag for just a moment.

First, Mattman and myself where closest to predicting the provincial maximum temperature. He was 0.3C too high and I was 0.3C too low. No one was able to predict the location, but I was the only one to correctly name the day.

I'm scared to even enter this morning's numbers because I'll be below EC. I'll wait until tonight after the highs come in. ha ha.

Oh, and Monty67, you're much improved from last time. Currently holding 2nd place.

Yeah, you guys were really close on that. I accurately predicted Hope's maximum temperature; of course I was wrong about it being the hottest location.

Ya, you kinda nailed that! You should have won except for a freak burst of heat at Squamish... and the unfair advantage Lytton has having two weather stations.
