I got slaughtered on the overnight temperatures. The last contest I got slaughter in the daytime temperatures, but almost nailed the lows. I think my mistake was thinking about the interior weather which I'm more familiar with, and thus had way too much diurnal temperature variation in my predictions.

To be fair to you, the lows have been unusually warm by September heatwave standards. They've been more in line with typical July heatwave lows. It seems like warm lows in September have been becoming more common in recent years.

Wow, EC nailed the lows last night (at least for YXX and YYJ). Funny how Environment Canada was BETTER at the 4 and 5 day forecast than the 1 and 2 day!

Added afternoon highs...

Van 16.1/22.9
Vic 12.8/20.5
Abb 15.0/

Still awaiting YXX. It's usually the last of the three to report.

Okay, so according to the data, Missionbcwx is the winner, but he did have the advantage of starting a day late. I gave him the average for the first day. Maybe that was too fair.

Monty67 was almost tied, being less than 1 point behind (Missionbcwx got 100ths of a point the first day because of the averaging).

Here's something else interesting. Even though I was 3rd from the bottom, I won the days. I just screwed up the nights royally.

Congrats, Monty and Mission! :D

Looks like I attempted a late recovery, but not enough to overcome yesterday's failure. Still happy with close third place, though.

Thanks Abby_wx beginners luck your better at this stuff than I'am, way to go Mr. Monty and everyone else, hopefully we get more contests and I won't be late to the party. I thought it might all go off the rails for me when the super hot Monday appeared and then the broiling overnight low's.

Well played to all, a bit of fun. That EC is "only" the middle of the pack is concerning, but given that they're a Canadian government agency, also reassuringly mediocre
