Interestingly enough, Bella Coola was 41.2C back in 2009. The only other places in Canada that got that hot that year were Lillooet (also 41.2) and Gold River on northern Vancouver Island at 41.5C (recorded to the nearest half degree).

Wasn't Terrace 40C+ in July 2009 as well?

No, Terrace doesn't get that hot, but Kitimat can, though it didn't that year. Kemano did, and that's on the ocean near Kitimat.

Here's a list of the hottest temperatures recorded in 2009. This is a list of all stations over 39C. Note that two Kitimat station recorded 39.5. The 3rd station there recorded 39.0.

The Terrace stations recorded 38.5C and 37.3C (at the airport). These were the hottest temperatures ever recorded in Terrace.

Well I was in first place after yesterday morning. Pretty much nailed the overnight temperatures, but then I totally bombed yesterday afternoon. Environment Canada is now back in first.

I would say that Environment Canada shouldn't count because the forecast I put here is from the morning after the deadline, and in it they had significantly scaled back the temperatures.

Therefore, VanCitySouth is the current leader.

Anyway, here are the latest numbers. Oh, and Victoria didn't even hit 20 yesterday!!

Well VanCitySouth is the grand winner (EC's forecast was made after the deadline). So was TWN, but even still they will likely lose. Yes, Monty67, you should be able to pull ahead on the last day...

Geez. Friday and Saturday's highs were spectacularly underwhelming when looking back like this.

Un-freakin'-believable! The Weathernetwork was the closest!!!!!!!

I was the closest at night, and you were the closest overall. The days killed me.

Nice comeback for Leighbugs.

Here's a little summarized table. I didn't include EC because they cheated.
