Yeah, I know. I suspect most of Coquitlam has gotten around 100-150mm less than what is shown. After seeing what they got yesterday (over 80mm) I knew that there was no way I got as much as that.
As of today, they are almost at 500mm for the month. Insane...

I once drove all the way to the end of the Coast Meridian Rd, to pick up my wife from her cousins place. Seemed like they were building quite a few new houses up there. It seemed to be a good distance up the hillside and on the edge of the forest. I remember thinking two things;
1. They must get some really good snowfalls up here.
2. They must get a horrific amount of rain.

Looks like the snowpack is pretty unstable resulting in Cypress being closed for avalanches:

Mountain Update
Our Operations will remain on standby for the day as we manage the deep snowfall over the past 24 hours. High avalanche conditions exist on all steep slopes so do not proceed through the resort area. Check back in for updates today.

Yeah, that's the Burke mountain development. In the past couple years, a lot has changed up there. I think the plan is to house 10,000+ people when all is set and done.

With an additional 30+mm of rain since yesterday, I'm at over 400mm of rain this month now.
