Light rail in Surrey is a major fail. Stupidest idea EVER! I wish we could sue the city!

Yeah, the solution for public transit in Surrey is SkyTrain, not light rail. Unfortunately the LR Line (Guildford to Newton) was approved by the government a month ago. Hopefully the next extension (King George to Langley City) will be SkyTrain.

That's why Site C is a good thing. Electric cars are powered by clean power.

The Surrey LRT is not a done deal yet. The Evergreen line was supposed to be an LRT, but got bumped up to SkyTrain before construction.

As for gas prices, they've shot up here 30 cents here today. Up to 137.9. I supposed I can't complain too much given the fact we were the lowest in the province for a while, and price was below the cost of wholesale gas (big time gas war going on in Vernon).

Gas prices reached 158 today. 160 seems inevitable at this point. Sky train all the way to UBC would be pretty good IMO.

OUCH! I filled my tank in my CAR, and it came to $100! I might have to dress up as a woman and try hooking just to pay my bills now.

Is it worth crossing the border?

I did the math and I could save $15-17 a tank (65 litres) by filling up in Sumas. I thought it would be a bigger difference, but apparently they're suffering high prices there as well.
