Ashcroft have been 40 degrees or more for 3 days in a row with the potential for two more. There is an outside chance that it will make it today and tomorrow, so if they do will they tie Spences Bridge's record of 5 in a row set in 1994. Is 5 in a row the Canadian record? I've looked, and can't find anything more than that. Perhaps Manitoba in 1936.
To compare apples to apples, we have to round to the nearest 0.5 degree C, so Lillooet's 39.7 reading three days ago puts it out of the running.
Lillooet was 41 (105F) or higher for 4 days in a row in 1941. That's a record not in danger of being broken any time soon.
