We all know that the climate in the Northwest Territories is so cold that it makes Alaska and even the Yukon look the tropics. This is no longer the case because Fort Liard had an average temperature of 4.0C for the entire Spring and an average of 4.6 and 12.7 for April and May. These temperatures are warmer than anywhere in Atlantic Canada.
To make matters worse, the 12.7 average for May was warmer than Port Hardy, Tofino, Prince George, Williams Lake, and many other places in British Columbia that experienced an unseasonably warm May.
