Maybe l've become picky in my young age as far as accurate readings. I find why pay expensive money for a thermometer only to have crappy readings.

Abbywx can u explain to Jr. that the shield and location are subject to a heat source, when l had that shield all it did was protect the sensor from precipitation in full sunlight it was horribly high it's not aspirated so it doesn't read accurately in full sunlight.

Try that post Jr. It looks like its further away from the roof and the heat source. Does the post stay shaded?
