Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

So I ask a simple question on the American forums and this is the response I get: Screen Shot 2018-10-21 at 12.25.54 AM.png I just had to answer that: Screen Shot 2018-10-21 at 12.26.48 AM.png And Monty came to my rescue as well, thanks Monty :D Screen Shot 2018-10-21 at 12.28.05 AM.png He was just...

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

Does anybody know if the solar cycles affect the large scale upper level patterns such as the placement of ridges and troughs? I thought lower solar was tied to more atmospheric blocking. But not so much the placement of the ridges and troughs. What exactly does atmospheric blocking look like? Does...

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

September and early October 2016 had a pretty expansive warm pool in the North Pacific, but it was quickly wiped out during the second half of autumn. Would probably be beneficial to see something similar occur this year. Do you think the stormy pattern next week will be able to dismantle that blob...

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

Nice to see you back Mr. M did you get over your Abby hangover  glad to know Mr. blob might be a jr. blob. No hangover for me.......well maybe a littl...

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

Blob is back! 4A483134-3DD3-4D2F-8F47-C17E633F032A.png The blob being back is bad news is we want cold and snow this winter right? :x Jury is still out. There’s differing opinions on the subject. IMO it doesn’t matter much if we have offshore flow. But cold (cold enough for snow) onshore flow is to...
