Oh, you're gonna have overestimated temperature for sure! Especially in summer, the walls and the roof are gonna heat a lot and will influence your station.

Mr GooseMan, you are in a good spot to see many snows like CatnipMan. You can drive to his area in 5 minutes and enter a different climate zone in marginal events. Even better, approach his home from bottom of hill first, where many times you will see rain and 2c, with not a trace of snow on ground...

Ah ah, I was in the Philippines in April 2015 and no mosquito as well. But it was dry season.
