Re: December 2017 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Winter is back on? I thought it was cancelled? And then it was back on for a bit. But now it's cancelled again? 8-)

My friend in Georgia got 9 inches of snow. Stoked the snow fever even more after seeing her pics. Our turn is coming...I'm gonna go ahead and formally cancel the winter cancel.

Re: December 2017 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Basically at my house I can count on rain when it's sunny practically everywhere else, a rainshadow and no precip when it's snowing everywhere else and fog when it's sunny everywhere else. Excellent. About the only time Maple Ridge seems to score in my books is when it's 35 degrees here and way cool...

Re: December 2017 Current Conditions and Forecasts

I had a high of 1.6C here today. Meanwhile my hubby was working at the top of Eagle Mountain and said it felt easily like 11-12 degrees. He came home, opened the car door and got out in his t-shirt, confused at the ice on the edge of the driveway. Big variances in weather around here today. I hope t...

Here's Hawk trying to thwart warmcoast and take control of the weather machine 168933191.jpg So much wining about the weather. Are we going to get hit or not, at the end of the day no one has control over the weather not even Mr. WARM ANOMALIE aka Nito. Let's enjoy the every day warm or cold / rain...

Re: November 2017 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Although I want snow, if it's not on the table gimme sun. I'll take sun before endless rain. That being said, will we actually see the sun with this death ridge or is this an endless foggy inversion set-up? Because that sucks even more than rain.

Re: November 2017 Current Conditions and Forecasts

I usually give it until Christmas for something good to show up in the models. If there is still nothing in the long range by then, I start to get a bit antsy. However, it can still flip on a dime and we could be in the freezer by Jan 15th. Remember, our normal winter window is Dec 1st to Feb 15th....

Yesssssss. This makes me happy. But too bad it takes until sometime in February for sunset to be past 6 pm. :x
And yet, the descent into darkness in fall seems to take mere days.
