Re: May 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Here is my note: 41.7 in Lillooet May 30th 1936 is probably unreliable. Next highest temperature in the month was 40.0 reported from Lytton 2 on the same day, and the next highest 38.9. 41.0 in Boston Bar May 31th 1986 is probably unreliable. No other station in the province reported more than 37.5...

Re: Alerts: Weather Summaries

Okay, nice, but what do they mean by Valemount??? Is there a weather station there??? I can't find one on EC! Valemount hasn't had a weather station in 14 years. Did they just pull this number out of thin air? AWCN11 CWVR Weather summary for British Columbia issued by Environment Canada at 6:11 p.m....

Re: May 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

The famous heatwave of late May 1983! ;) Dawson, YT has established his all-time record this year. The all-time BC monthly record (40.5 in Boston Bar) occured on May 29th 1983 as well. Interesting, although, it should be pointed out that the all time BC record occurred in 1936 during the craziest w...

Re: May 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Springs have been cold in recent years, but this year is bucking that trend. I don't remember very many Mays this hot. Day after day of 30 degree weather in the interior. Ashcroft was 34 yesterday. More of the same today. And the next day. And the next day. And the day after that. And the day after ...

Re: May 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

The Canucks will be saving YUGE money next year without the Sedin Sisters in the lineup. They might even save enough money to make the playoffs.

P.S. Not a drop of rain here in two weeks now.

Re: May 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Pemberton is screwing up again. 34.0C in the day and 9.6C at night. Totally bunk, so I'm leaving it off the list... Yesterday's temps... 1) Ashcroft = 33.9 2) Lytton Climate = 33.4 3) Lillooet = 32.8 3) Lytton = 32.8 5) Clearwater = 32.1 6) Kamloops Airport = 31.9 7) Kamloops = 31.8 8) Warfield = 31...

Re: May 2018 Current Conditions and Forecasts

Phew! No catastrophic Fraser Valley flood forecasted by the BC River Forecast Centre. Levels not expected to even be close to 1948. I'm sure the media will find some way to make it look and sound a lot worse than what is likely to happen      Here's one for you... nicola2.p...
