A couple hundred km north of you at Puntzi Mountain where it's normally close to -20C, it was only -10C this morning, so it seems the cold must have concentrated on the Lower Mainland.

Re: Weather stations EC (pictures)

Perfect location! So rare... Yes. And it's also why (in my view) Kamloops' record high is only 40.8C. I say "only" because it's far, far hotter than many places that have recorded temperatures well in excess of 40. BTW, The average daily July high in Kamloops over the past 30 years is 29....

Re: Weather stations EC (pictures)

Here is Kamloops (YKA).

Thoughts?

Seems like a good location to me. All time record set this year at 40.8C (better than the old record of 40.7C set in 2014, which was better than the 1971 record of 40.6C).

Re: December 2018 Current Conditions And Forecasts

-8 this morning is Campbell River. Probably the cold spot on the coast. Yes, except for all the places that were colder. But I've looked, and no place was colder, although, Bella Bella and Bella Coola were also -8 this morning. -8 is so cold that even Prince George wasn't that cold! Tofino was -1, ...

Wow, Grouse Mountain sure had a YUGE amount of precipitation last month! In fact, it was the wettest place in Canada with 730.7 mm! That's almost 70mm more than second place Boat Bluff (a lighthouse on the central coast). And 3 days of data are missing: http://climat.meteo.gc.ca/climate_data/daily_...

Re: December 2018 Current Conditions And Forecasts

Oh, CRAZY, Osoyoos and Penticton were -8C this morning, a full 7 degrees colder than Vernon! This is no normal. It's like having Abbotsford 7 degrees colder than Hope in the winter. #ClimateChangeIsReal
