The streetlights turned on in Prince George today because of the smoke. Here's why. Also, Quesnel only made it to 14C today. That means the smoke reduced the temperature by 10C! That's was serious pile of smoke!

The Chilliwack weather station was closed down in 2014. You will have to look at Agassiz.

Good graphs. ;) Where do you find the datas please? I Googled and downloaded it a year or two ago. I can't remember where I found it. Added the last two years of data myself from BCWildfire.ca P.S. The three big fires in Tweedsmuir Park have now combined into a single monster fire some 80,000 hecta...

It's the second largest fire season in my life time (last year was the largest). If we graph from 1920, the trend is down, but if we graph from the 1986 the trend is up. Way up.

One of my favourite lakes is Eagle Lake. As far as I can tell, it's the largest lake in Canada with no outflow. When my mom was living there close to 50 years ago, the lake level was 20 feet higher! Climate change perhaps or possible just the long term trend happening since the melt of the glaciers ...
