Wow..that graph looks like about 4c? It must have been really cold in the late 1800's then. Winters like Whistler has were here? Nahhh i don't think so. The Pacific crushes the cold air. Must have been bad data or thermometers or too many people drinking on the job

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

yes the sunny stretch of weather in the valley is amazing. This is the pre cursor to pattern shift, into a dark, dreary end of month into Movember, with many chilly rains and mountain snows. Yessssssssss

Well i guess we are kinda due..Nito was getting frozen last cupla winters..I hope you had a chance to escape somewhere wet n mild Nito? With some warm sunny breaks as well?

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

Any experts think the coastal topography has anything to do with allowing this storm to intensify? The coastline mimics the shape of the storm, thus not inhibiting it's growth? Any thoughts? When they cross over even a smaller island, it seems to weaken them quite a bit. Plus GOM is toasty right now...

Re: October 2018 Currrent Conditions & Forecasts

U think this ridge will persist all winter, hence the start of a new PATTRENN Lock? Warm and ridgy with bouts of inversions followed by depressions?
